Popstar Geri Halliwell (best known as 'Ginger Spice' from The Spice Girls) shares her life story in this compelling autobiography. From her early days back in Watford to becoming a worldwide superstar. Geri sure does NOT hold back in this book - it was truly eye opening to read what she went through in her early days. She really had a goal in life to become a star and nothing was going to stop her. Even when she was homeless and had to steal food from her job and did the craziest jobs just to get by, she never let her dream of being a superstar die. This book made me go through so many emotions, I laughed at her bluntness but I cried when reading about her fathers funeral. Geri is my role model and I gained even more respect for her after reading this book. Both of us are Leo's and both of us look up to Madonna (she goes into more detail in the book about her love for Madonna) and so I really felt like I was reading about myself in this book. Geri is fearless and she is such a strong woman. This book is incredible! I am so glad that I read this book. Ofcourse Geri discusses the early days of The Spice Girls including the audition process and how she met the other girls and what those early days were like (those were my favourite parts of the book). She talks about the strong bond that she has with Mel-B. And you really see how much of a leader Geri is and how much of an impact she had in pushing The Spice Girls to what they became. I honestly feel like if it weren't for Geri and her forcefulness, The Spice Girls would certainly have NOT become as successful as they did. She was most definitely the driving force for the band. This book is great for all the dreamers in the world...just like me! I highly recommend!!!! GIRL POWER! Xxxxxx
