I have always been a fan of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, so when I heard that the lead singer Anthony Kiedis had written an auto-biography I was in no hesitation to buy myself a copy. When I first received the book, my instant reaction was the shock of just how big the book actually is....ITS HUGE!!! Like triple the size of an average celebrity autobiography book but I suppose that just shows how much of an interesting life Anthony has lived.
Anthony shares the most candid and interesting pictures (my personal favourite is the one with him Ione Skye). He is very open about his drug filled days - and his father who brought him into the drug world at a very young age as well as living the life in LA.
The only downside to the book is that it is far too long and not enough information on The Red Hot Chili Peppers almost as if he purposely left his artistic life out of the book.
It is the perfect book for a die-hard fan, I would not put myself in that category. However, I am proud to have this in my book collection because he is a legend and it is a good book to read by your nightstand just before heading to bed.
